You have officially taken the first and hardest decision of this mind blowing, exciting adventure.

I will be honest dating isn’t easy, finding a date is hard enough never mind the actual get together and here I speak from experience. I am a haulier/farmers daughter brought up in cattle wagons, pig sties, whey products and the glorious smell of red diesel, doesn’t sound good to someone who doesn’t understand (I miss it still) however I still managed to remain intelligent and attractive. I suffered the young farmer’s barn dances and raft races, BBQs and impromptu days out by the beach which was essentially my youth. As I matured I realised I just wasn’t meeting anyone who was exciting, rounded or grounded enough to satisfy my adventurous side. So I launched myself into the internet dating arena, WOW it was wonderful, I met people who shared my thoughts, opinions and respected my way of life. I no longer lived in my agricultural bubble, YIPEE!

During my career I moved into the Blue Chip world and learnt an immense amount about customer service, business planning and profit - I couldn’t stand it anymore! So I left to start my own business and decided to run it open and honestly and treat the customer how I would wish to be treated and here we have it Rural Connections, started from home in 2006 and growing from strength to strength, with a couple of marriages including my own to prove it works.

Please don’t delay your decision any more give it a go, accept it for what it is, an opportunity to meet people, you aren’t going to marry the first one you meet (if you do please let me know and I’ll hire the horse carriage for you), believe me I had to ‘kiss a lot of frogs to find my prince’. I adapted the attitude that it was going to enhance my life not change it. I managed to chat and meet a lot of members; I would get to go out somewhere new at least once a month it was so exciting. So please don’t punish yourself any longer you deserve the best out of life, be safe and get dating.

Rural Connections does what it suggests it connects rural people no matter what the terrain. People who I would class as rural can come from all backgrounds, farming is often in the genes and you may not know you have it! , but you know when someone’s got it.
